Beloved • Belonging • Serving

As followers of Jesus, we live in a state of grace.

We don’t always get everything right, but we trust God’s forgiveness and love.

Martin Luther said we are both saint and sinner –

made right with God through Jesus but always in need of grace and mercy.

We receive grace from God: we extend grace to one another.

BELOVED

Created by God, every person is beloved and precious and welcome to be a part of our community of faith. God makes no distinctions, and neither do we.

You are precious to God. You will find acceptance in our community and be encouraged in your walk with God.

BELONGING

Together we learn and grow in faith. We ask questions and seek understanding.

What binds us together – our faith in Jesus – is stronger than our differences.

We support and care for one another. We engage in ministry together. There is a place at First Lutheran for you.

SERVING

We carry the love of God into our neighborhood and world in concrete action through feeding ministries, housing the homeless, and Laundry Love.

We live out our call to strive for justice and peace in the world by supporting immigrants and refugees, advocating for LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and standing against racism.
