10:00 Sunday Mornings

COMMON QUESTIONS

What do I wear?

Come to our community and you will see some people in dresses and suits and others in jeans and tee shirts. ALL ARE WELCOME, no strings attached.

We’re here to worship God, not look at people’s clothing.

Where do I enter?

We have a parking lot behind the building. You can enter through the glass doors under the portico. Handicap accessibility is available at this entrance as well. (left)

Or, if you park on the street, you can enter through the wooden doors on Colley Avenue near the sign. (right)

What should I know about worship?

We are a liturgical congregation, which simply means “work of the people.”

The congregation prays, sings, reads, and participates in a variety of ways. We stand, sit, and kneel a lot, each person as they are comfortable doing so. We have Holy Communion every Sunday.

Everyone is welcome to come to the Lord’s Table if they wish to receive communion or a blessing. We don’t have a lot of rules; grace abounds at First Lutheran!

What about children?

Children are most welcome in worship!

Their activity, curiosity, singing, and busy-ness all give glory to God!

We have a prayground in the front of the church so that children can see what is happening. We also have activity bags for children if they get bored, and if they need a break we have a nursery for children 4 and younger.
