Doughnuts & Discussions

Nourished by coffee, snacks, and fellowship, this group examines the relationship between theology and contemporary culture. Topics have included a survey of the teachings of Islam and an examination of the theology of Martin Luther throughout his life. Doughnuts & Discussions meets in Strickler Hall.

Sunday Lectionary 

Sunday Lectionary, also referred to as the “Second-Floor Bible Study,” meets in the Conference Room. The class reads from the Augsburg Adult Bible Study Series, a renowned series that explores the varieties of meaning of Biblical texts and provokes discussions based on major themes, such as “Sustaining Hope” and “Creation: God Loves Us.”

Men’s Bible Study 

The Men’s Bible Study meets weekly at 7:00 AM on Wednesdays at IHOP, 114 East 21st Street, Norfolk, VA 23517.

Women’s Bible Study 

The Women’s Bible Study meets via Zoom at 2:00 PM on Tuesdays, to engage God’s Word and its impact in our daily lives.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, we have a special learning opportunity for children AND adults. The theme changes from year to year, but always offers opportunities for learning & fellowship.
